Meet the Team / Bethany Deniz

Bethany Deniz

Bethany is a Licensed Educational Psychologist dedicated to supporting the academic and emotional growth of students. Since 2009, she has used her expertise to serve and advocate for students in Sonoma County. What Bethany loves most about Educational Psychology is that it allows her to help stakeholders gain an understanding of a student’s strengths and needs, to empower them to become confident learners. Bethany has a breadth of experience in private, non-public, and public school settings, as well as private practice in assessing students with learning, developmental, and social emotional disabilities.

Bethany’s areas of interest and specialty include:

  • Specific learning disability identification using the Patterns of Strengths and Weaknesses (PSW) model

  • Creating parent-friendly feedback and reports

  • Supporting school teams to align with best practice models to promote the academic and emotional growth of students

  • Consulting with educators, administrators, and families, with a focus on supporting the educational, emotional, and behavioral needs of students

  • Providing training to districts, school psychologists, and educators

Bethany considers herself a lifelong learner and is currently training to become a Certified School Neuropsychologist with the School Neuropsychology Institute. This certification will broaden her ability to meet the needs of the diverse learners she enjoys working with. When she’s not working, she loves to spend time with her family and dogs, go to the beach, read, enjoy time with friends, and ride her Peloton!
