Individual Services

We can offer individual services to meet your needs. No matter the service, we begin with a free consultation to help determine what services will be most useful and cost effective.

How it works

    We review any pertinent educational and medical records you provide.

    We conduct a brief interview with the client and administer individual assessments in our office. This is typically completed in 1-2 sessions.

Individual Service Options

IQ Testing / Cognitive Assessment

Cognitive assessments provide information about your student’s cognitive strengths and weaknesses. We can provide your student with an IQ score as a global estimate of their ability. This stand alone service may be appropriate for those interested in learning about their strengths and weaknesses in order to make educational decisions or for students that are looking to enter a program that requires this type of testing such as Gifted and Talented Education program.

Academic Assessment

Academic assessment provides information on your student’s skill levels in reading, written expression, mathematics, and oral language. This assessment is helpful in determining your student’s current academic strengths and challenges, which may be helpful in determining needed services and supports.

  • Full academic battery including reading, writing, math and oral language

  • Feedback meeting

  • Brief written report

Autism and/or ADHD Screening

ADHD and autism evaluations and diagnoses are most often conducted as components of a thorough comprehensive assessment process. Learn about comprehensive assessments.

If you would like to consider a standalone ADHD and/or autism assessment, please contact us to find the right solution for your child’s needs.

Step 1

Review pertinent educational and medical records.

Step 3

Collect rating scales from important stakeholders with information about the student’s functioning.

Step 2

Conduct interviews with client, family, teachers and/or service providers.

Step 4

Conduct an observation in our office during the interview session. We typically administer a rating scale at this time.

Step 5

Hold a parent/caregiver feedback meeting and provide a written report.

School Meeting Attendance

For returning clients only: If you would like for us to attend an additional school based meeting after a comprehensive assessment (includes one school meeting), or would like us to attend after an individual service has been provided, we can join in person or virtually. We can share the results and recommendations from our assessment, collaborate to determine appropriate supports, and/or attend to gain more information about your student.

Fee Estimate: $150/hr, local or virtual
$175+/hr outside of Sonoma County

Consultation

We provide support to families and educators through a collaborative consultation model. During this time, we work together to clarify concerns and identify options for support. We can assist you in navigating the education system, including special education services (IEP). Meetings can be virtual, over the phone or in person.

  • Guidance in navigating the education system, including special education (IEPs, 504s, etc)
